After giving birth to my son,
Jonah, my body fat was a high 27%! By combining a healthy
diet, regular cardio, and training with Natalie twice
a week, my body fat has gone down to an astonishing
14%! Natalie is an amazing trainer! She will motivate
you through her rigorous program and the results are
worth it! With her extensive knowledge and degree in
Kinesiology she has specialized a program, which includes
rehabilitation, to accommodate my knee injury from dancing.
If you need someone to push you beyond your limits and
to see results, I highly recommend hiring Natalie Nesterenko
as your personal trainer! |

For fifteen years, I was a competitive
swimmer; ultimately, qualifying for the Canadian Nationals,
and Olympic Trials, at fifteen years of age. By high
school I was training ten times per week - swimming
two hours every morning before school, and training
for three hours after school (including swimming, gymnastics,
"dry land" training, and weight lifting). I was training
twenty-five hours a week! Being incredibly fit was an
evident side effect - an aspect I completely took for
granted. Amateur and professional athletes train to
excel at sport; aesthetics are completely secondary.
Moreover, the diet of an athlete is completely different
than that of a recreational exerciser. My coach would
require that we eat six hundred calories before 5:30
a.m. practice - preferably carbohydrates. |
 |
| Retiring from
the sport at twenty-one, I failed to comprehend the
concept of training for health and aesthetics (my only
ideology was to train to qualify for a National team).
Worse, I continued eating a diet consisting of 90% carbohydrates
- not understanding that non-athletes eat differently.
By twenty-two my weight had
climbed thirty pounds (coincidently, ninety percent
of my teammates suffered similar gains upon retiring)!
At age twenty-four I had finished my degree in Kinesiology
and began working at a fitness facility. Ultimately,
I paired the knowledge I had acquired from school and
swimming, with that from shadowing various trainers.
I created a personalized program consisting of a specialized nutrition plan, weight training, and cardio (sports such
as swimming, dancing, and boxing). In twelve weeks my
body composition completely changed - results I have
maintained for several years. I went from 155 lbs (size
12 - 14, 34% body fat), to 127 lbs (size 4, 20 % body
fat). Having been incredibly fit and then disturbingly
sedentary (and grossly unfit), I truly have the ability
to relate to my clients, and their various training
obstacles. I understand the difficulty of a life-style
change - transforming ideologies, and varying approaches,
to achieve health and wellness. Through empathy, motivation,
education, and innovative personalized programs, I ensure
my clients achieve their goals. |

My grade two students thoroughly
enjoyed the six week dance program run by Natalie Nesterenko.
They planned, danced, laughed and learned about their
personal strengths. It was interesting to see how the
children co-operated (or didn't) during group work.
The finale was very exciting to see, especially since
some of them prepared costumes and props, too! |

the work.....e.g. even the assessment
-amazing to see all the kids come together
-excited to see the talent that the kids have in dance
........ something that I don't think i could ever get
out of them
-fun to watch
-gave the kids a great sense of pride ...... I don't
think that they even thought they could do it |

Natalie provides students
with a specialized dance program that many classroom
teachers do not have the expertise to provide. Further,
this program allows the students to interact with the
dance curriculum in a fun and interesting way. |

Thank you, Natalie, for sharing
your wonderful talent with our students ... and our
staff!
I appreciate your organizational approach,
your respectful attitude towards our students and the
high, yet reasonable, expectations you set for this
project.
We all have a better appreciation for the
fine art of "dance" because of your presence. |

Thank you so much for sharing
your expertise, enthusiasm and amazing energy with our
school. You've been such a terrific addition to our
staff. Your enjoyment of the students is so genuine
and they react beautifully to you in return. Shy students
have demonstrated confidence. Strong students have had
opportunities to lead and practice the art of compromise.
Everything you do is valuable, FUN, and very much appreciated.
I'm looking forward to working with you again next year!

It's Keisha. I thank you for
making me more confident in what I love to do (which
is dance). You make me feel like doing anything in life
like being confident and know I can make it if I try.
I love your dancing and I'm so happy that you came back
to our school. God bless you and good luck in the future.
See you soon! |

When I first walked in
the gym I was so nervous!! But when I was dancing it
was actually fun! When it was the day when you were
testing us I was nervous. When I got 9.5 I was so happy!
That day when we had to do our dance in front of everyone
I was excited. When it was done I wanted to do it again.
When we were done I said to myself "I'll miss you Natalie." |

I just adore your teaching.
In my first class I was very nervous. But you taught
me to be calm and you were very patient with me that
I just want to thank you. I truly appreciate it very
dearly. You also taught me to be more confident in myself.
On the last day all my nervousness came back at me.
But when I saw you up on stage I remembered the time
you put in to make this dance and how you shared your
hip-hop gift with us so that dance I did was for you.
I truly hope you come back next year and teach us another
dance because you put a smile on my face. |

Hi Natalie, it's Gianne. I
just want to say how much you made a difference in me.
When in dance you make me feel so confident and have
a great time. There's so much I can't explain. God Bless
you. Poem: You're the infinite sugar in my cereal. You're
exactly what people need to make a smile on their face.

"Mariano was an outstanding instructor. Probably his best quality is that he is able to relate to the students on their level. He is an excellent role model for the boys whom might otherwise not be engaged by a dance unit. He is professional by “teacher standards” and cool by “kid standards” which makes for a positive learning experience for all .... it is obvious that Mariano not only has a passion for dance but has also a passion for teaching young adults. It was clear he wanted them to have fun and perform well." |
